STOP THE TRAFFIK (STT) is a global organisation, working across civil society, engaging with government and business to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.

STT has grown exponentially over the past 10 years, as we have focused on building a multi-faceted community response to modern slavery. Our work in the UK has grown in terms of the development of communities who have an early prevention focus rooted in partnerships with law enforcement, statutory services, non-government organisations (NGOs), financial institutions, faith communities and business.

In conjunction with the RBKC, STT are seeking a Modern Slavery & Exploitation (MSE) Partnership and Community Coordinator to be based within RBKC’s Community Safety Team.

The post holder will coordinate the three borough’s (RBKC, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Westminster) MSE partnership and STT’s whole community engagement and Intelligence-led strategy.

This is a multi-faceted role and amongst other activities, the Coordinator will be asked to:

  • To coordinate and engage with MSE (multi-agency) Partnership Group in collaboration with the MSE Chair and Violence Against Women and Girls Strategic Lead.
  • To target and deliver successful community prevention initiatives with particular respect to those places where there is highest vulnerability to MSE across the three boroughs.
  • To develop and deliver workshops/activities tailored to organisations and community groups working with those at highest risk of MSE.
  • Provide awareness training to professionals across the three boroughs to relevant teams and departments within local authority, health, NGOs, and industry.
  • To build and deliver intelligence-led campaigns and activities both locally and nationally in accordance with STT intelligence-led strategy.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven management skills across community projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt messages effectively for diverse audiences
  • Proven administrative skills and data collection
  • Experience of development and implementation of strategy
  • Self-motivated, innovative and be used to working in a fast-paced environment
