Ghaith Al-Nas Appeal

In October 2025, Oasis Belgium launched Ghaith Al-Nas, a project dedicated to supporting families arriving in Belgium from Gaza. The name Ghaith Al-Nas, chosen by the families themselves, means “Rain for the People” — a powerful symbol of renewal, hope, and life after hardship.

This initiative was born out of compassion and a deep sense of community. What began when a doctor was asked to provide medical checks for five newly arrived Gazan families soon evolved into a much broader mission. Beyond addressing immediate health concerns, our team recognised the need for ongoing, holistic support to help families navigate the many challenges of rebuilding their lives in a new country.

Through Ghaith Al-Nas, Oasis Belgium accompanies families as they adjust to life in Belgium — guiding them through the complex asylum process, attending appointments with lawyers and medical professionals, enrolling children in schools, and helping them access essential services.

But just as importantly, we offer emotional support and a listening ear. We welcome families into our community with warmth and respect, creating a space where they can share their experiences, find understanding, and begin to heal.

Ghaith Al-Nas is more than a support project — it is a community of care, built on empathy, solidarity, and the belief that every family deserves to feel safe, heard, and at home.
