Local neighbourhoods need long term investment for change, to dismantle decades of entrenched poverty and injustice. Help us scale up what we know works.
We work in 52 neighbourhoods across the UK that are often labelled as ‘deprived’ – where poverty is deep rooted. We know too many families and communities feel excluded and ignored, lacking hope that anything will change for themselves or their children. But with 40 years of experience on the ground, we believe in the power of local communities to come together and create a new story.
Regular donations will help fund three essential pillars of transformation:
- Joined-up support for every family. More family support teams, advice services, counselling, coaching, and employment skills and pathways
- A mentor for every young person. Bringing together volunteers as well as specialist youth workers to be the ‘trusted adult’ that can help a young person thrive.
- A place to belong. Community spaces and activities that provide welcome, relationship, and opportunity to organise and work together for change.
